Help keep our kids warm

Kindness Box
With freezing temperatures, we often find children unprepared, and without hats, gloves, or scarves. In the spirit of service, a “Kindness Box” will be set up through Valentine’s Day to make sure the kids are warm enough to get through the season. Children can take what they need from the box should they find themselves without hats, gloves, or scarves.

The “Kindness Box” will be set up in the main building (by Parent Coordinator, Barbara Maier-Hopkin’s office), and in the annex, (exact location updated here), to collect these three items starting Jan 16th through Valentine’s Day, Feb 14.

Please consider donating a pair of new/gently used gloves or mittens, a scarf, or a hat. Thank you in advance for your generosity! Happy Martin Luther King Day!

Parents & Guardians: P.S. 99Q Presents a Workshop

Think CentralAttention parents and guardians: on Wednesday, the school will host a morning workshop on “Think Central,” the website that allows teachers and students access to digital materials associated with school-related programs.

Ms. Teresi and Ms. Maier-Hopkins will be presenting the workshop, which is will take place in the main building library from 8:30am to about 9:30am. Light refreshments will be served. Please join us to learn more about your child’s educational tools and assets!

PA General Meeting: Jan 18

PA General Meeting BannerThe Parents’ Association will host it’s first meeting of the year on JAN 18, 6:30-8:30pm to provide updates on the school reading kits, outcome of the coat drive, and to discuss the upcoming Multicultural World Festival on the calendar. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Babysitting is available for parents who would like to attend. The meeting will be held in the Main Building auditorium. We look forward to seeing you in attendance!

Update: Due to the overwhelming success of the coat drive, we will have some gently used coats in a variety of sizes on hand for any parents who may have missed the coat swap.
