Month: October 2018
Tuesday, October 30th is Character Day!
Help your child bring their favorite books to life by dressing as their favorite storybook character! For this celebration, students should wear school-appropriate clothing. Some accessories like glasses, wigs, hats and face paints can be used. Please do not bring in masks, sharp objects, or weapons of any kind.
Students can bring in a copy of their favorite book their character is from, to share with their class. We hope everyone participates in this literary event!
The PA will be hosting the annual community Winter Warm Up Coat Drive & Fair. From October 29th to November 15th, a donation box will be set up in both the Main Building and Annex to collect new or gently used coats, vests, sweaters, and pants. If you have any new or gently used items that you can donate, please drop it off at either locations through November 15th.
Distribution of collected items will be held during Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, November 15th at 1:00-3:00pm & 5:00-7:00pm. Clothing collected from the drive will be available for the taking for all PS 99 students and their families.
The school will be hosting a Parent Workshop: “Why Does Attendance Matter?” on Tuesday, October 23rd. The workshop will take place at the Main Building Library beginning 8:45am. Light refreshments will be served.
