Parent-Teacher Conference Bake Sale – November 14

Bake Sale

Hey parents! The PA will be hosting a bake sale during Parent-Teacher Conference hours on Thursday, November 14th. Stingray t-shirts will also be available for sale. Fliers containing more information will be distributed by the school shortly.

In the meantime, we’d love to line up some volunteers to help set up, sell, and clean up during the event. If you have a couple of hours available and would like to help, please go to our volunteer sign up page and let us know! Volunteering is a great way to interact with the other parents and families while helping the PA raise money for school-related activities for the kids! Hope to see you there!

Tuesday, October 29: Title 1 Meeting & Parent Workshop

The school is hosting a meeting and a parent workshop this coming Tuesday, October 29th:Title1P.S. 99 is a Title 1 school this year. Thank you to all who have filled out the income surveys!

In order to receive funds, a parent committee must be formed to decide how to best make use of the money that has been granted to the school.

Please join us at this meeting to learn about:

  • Title 1 funding
  • how the Title 1 program supports our school
  • the budget that is set aside for parent and family engagement
  • how the parent committee plays a role in the funding

The school will be holding elections for Parent Representatives. Please consider participating to make your voice count!

PS 99 Guidance Counselor Mr. Reid will be on hand to talk about District 28 middle schools, and will answer your questions regarding the middle school application process.

6th grade parents: We will also be meeting to form 6th grade committees to organize all graduation- related activities. Please join us and sign up for one of the organizing committees: prom, picnic, yearbook, graduation. 6th grade graduation success depends on your participation!
