Summer in the City applications are open!


Summer in the City offers a variety of free Summer Academy programs for students of different ages. Summer Academy programs include hands-on STEM projects and field trips to museums, parks, and other cultural sites.

Summer in the City provides transportation and students enrolled in programming will receive a free, healthy breakfast, and lunch. Please visit the NYC Dept of Ed website for more information on how to apply.


Sneak peek at our new t-shirt!


Sneak peek at our new school t-shirt! The PA will be selling this nifty new tee during the Parent Teacher Conferences next Thursday at the bake sale in both the Main Building and Annex. The t-shirt features our school mascot, the stingray, and is perfect for upcoming Spirit Day!

And as always, the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will be used to fund events, activities, learning programs, and educational services for our school. The shirts are $20 each. Available in both youth and adult sizes. We have a limited number on hand next week, so get one while they last!

PSA: Forest Hills Clinic Is Giving Kids Free Dental Care In March

Plaza College’s dental clinic is offering free dental exams and teeth cleanings to kids through the month of March.

PA Bake Sale! We need your help!

Bake SaleThe PA will host a bake sale during Parent-Teacher Conferences and we need your help! 


We are seeking donations of nut-free baked goods, individually wrapped snacks, juice boxes, and bottled water.

Store bought pre-packaged donations can be delivered to either building from now until March 14th at drop-off/dismissal. Fresh baked homemade items can be delivered to either building on March 14th. Due to allergy concerns, if you donate homemade baked goods, please provide a list of ingredients. Please label “PA Bake Sale,” and leave with security.

We also need volunteers for the Bake Sale!

You’ll be receiving a take home flier for the bake sale. Please fill out and return by March 12th.

Earlier in the month, National Association of Elementary School Principals President, Eric Cardwell visited with Principal Foglio as part of his #PrincipalRoadTrip to learn how more access to the arts offers measurable benefits for our students. We’re so proud to have such a strong tradition of arts programs here!

Teachers’ Workshop for Parents: March 7, 2019


QuestionsPS 99 teachers will host an educational workshop for parents. The workshop will provide an in-depth overview of your child’s class curriculum, and give parents the opportunity to understand it before their upcoming parent teacher conferences.

Please join us so that you can have a better understanding of your child’s school day. To RSVP, just fill out and return the slip that was sent home to your child this week. Hope to see you there!
