After-school Program

The Parents Association helps PS 99 run the after school program.  Dismissal begins at 5:20 and all students must be picked up by 5:30pm. If a child is late more than 3 times in a session, he/she will be requested to discontinue attending the program for that session.

All students must be picked up by a person listed on the blue emergency card and be at least 18 years old.

2017-2018 Session Dates

  • Session 1: September 25, 2017-December 15, 2017
    • Register from June 5-7 or September 5-6 from 3pm-5pm in the main building
    • For 1st through 6th Grades only
  • Session 2: December 18, 2017-March 23, 2018
    • Register November 13-15 from 3pm-5pm
    • For Kindergarten through 6th Grade
  • Session 3: March 26, 2018-June 8, 2018
    • Register February 5-7 from 3pm-5pm
    • For Kindergarten through 6th Grade

2016-2017 Session Dates

  • Session 1: September 19, 2016-December 16, 2016
    • Register from June 6, 2016-June 8, 2016 or September 6-7, 2016
  • Session 2: December 19, 2016-March 24, 2017
    • Register November 16-18, 2016
  • Session 3: March 27, 2017-June 9, 2017
    • Registration for Session 3 of the Afterschool program runs from February 6th thru February 8th from 3pm-5pm in main building. The last day to sign up will be February 8th.

Personal checks and money orders only payable to PS 99 PA After School Program.  No refunds and/or changes after the registration period ends.

Cost varies by day of the week and number of children.  For the 2016-2017 year the costs are $20/day:

  • 1 day a week: $220
  • 2 days a week: $440
  • 3 days a week: $660
  • 4 days a week: $880
  • 5 days a week: $1,100



Activities vary by grade and include: homework time, gymnasium, arts & crafts, games, science club, computers, test prep, hip hop dance, modern dance, band, theater, chess, volleyball, yoga, glee club, and writing.  Kindergarten has its own after school program which includes different activities, but only for sessions 2 and 3.  Please see the flyer for more info.
 Yoga requires a yoga mat.


4th, 5th, and 6th graders are invited to participate in an after school band on selected wind, brass, and percussion instruments.  Rental costs vary, but can average around $100-$120 for the entire school year. Additional supplies are typically below $40 annually.

Please note that the PA is responsible for maintaining the after school budget, but we are not in charge of registration or the program choices available. Teachers from PS 99 offer classes based on their skills and the times they are available.
