School Trips

Ms. Folgio sent home the December newsletter in which she reminded parents of the new NYC Office of School Health’s policy regarding school trips.  The Office of School Health is a joint program of the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and the Department of Education (DOE).

When a student who requires medication attends a trip, a school trip nurse or a parent/guardian must attend to the assist the student, otherwise the trip must be cancelled. School trip nurses are requested but are not guaranteed.  Classroom teachers will reach out to the parents of students who need to be accompanied prior to making payment for the trip.
